INTERVIEWS WITH OUR FORMER STUDENTS #3
INTERVIEW #3
STEVAN KULIĆ - A GENERAL MANAGER TO BE
When I think of Stevan, the first thing that comes to my mind is his contagious laughter. It wasn't rare that, when he started to laugh because of one thing, the others in his group started to laugh because of his laughter. He used to be in the same group with Anja, and somehow he motivated other students to speak up. After he finished the elementary school, he became one of the rare students with the opportunity to study in Bora Stanković English bilingual department. And he passed the entry test without a special preparation! We wish him to be the best student at the Faculty of Organizational Studies and to become the general manager of festivals such as Exit, Nišville and Film Meetings.
V: Hello, Stevan, how are you today?
Stevan: Hi, I am doing great! Thanks for asking.
V: Long time no see...what have you been doing these days?
Stevan: Lately I've been preparing for my move to Belgrade where I will be attending university. (Stevan enrolled on the Faculty of Organizational Studies)
V: When did you start attending our classes in Virginia Centre and how long did it last?
Stevan: I started attending classes in Virginia Centre when I was around 11 and it lasted for 4 years.
V: What was your personal experience with our school?
Stevan: I loved it! I was looking forward to attend every single class due to the friendly and safe atmosphere we created as a collective.
V: What activities did you prefer?
Stevan: I always preferred oral exercises and generally debating over some random but important topics.
V: What activities seemed more useful than others?
Stevan: I really feel that I freed myself to speak English more confidently because of all the oral exercises.
V: In what way have our classes helped you till this day?
Stevan: I feel more confident in my English skills, especially talking to others. And it helped me meet many friends online from many different places. As well as listening to school curriculum in English language.
V: To whom would you recommend our classes?
Stevan: I would recommend classes in Virginia Centre to anyone who is willing to improve their knowledge of any language really.
V: Is there anything you want to add?
Stevan: I would love to add that Virginia really felt like a safe place to me where I could be myself and freely express my opinions and my personality. It helped me grow on so many levels as a person. It never felt like an obligation, it felt like home.
